06/07 Celebrates the 5th Year for the Successful Program!
Fifth Third Bank Broadway Across America – Columbus and Cameron Mitchell Restaurants are pleased to announce the return of “Dinner and Broadway,” a pre-show dining and theatre program that offers patrons a convenient option for making dinner reservations and purchasing Broadway Across America – Columbus tickets. “Dinner and Broadway” kicks off this August before tickets to individual Broadway Across America – Columbus shows go on sale to the general public.
Patrons can plan an evening of “Dinner and Broadway” for any show in the Fifth Third Bank Broadway Across America – Columbus 06/07 Season with one simple phone call to their choice of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “Dinner and Broadway” offers patrons convenience and priority seating for Broadway shows, as reservations will be available before theatre tickets are on sale to the general public. “Dinner and Broadway” reservations will be available beginning August 4 for most 06/07 Broadway Across America – Columbus regular season shows. A limited number of tickets to WICKED will be available through Dinner & Broadway January 15-March 15, or while supplies last.
The 06/07 season marks the fifth year for “Dinner and Broadway” as the program continues the successful partnership of Fifth Third Bank Broadway Across America – Columbus and Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. During the past four seasons, over 4,500 people have taken advantage of this collaboration.
Fifth Third Bank Broadway Across America – Columbus is just one of 52 North American cities that present the best in touring Broadway. The 06/07 season starts in October with the Ohio premiere of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and then continues with: Richard Thomas and George Wendt in Twelve Angry Men, All Shook Up, The Light in the Piazza, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Wicked.
“Dinner and Broadway” tickets will be available in advance of the general public on sale for shows in the 06/07 season beginning August 1 (excluding WICKED). A limited number of tickets to WICKED will be available through Dinner & Broadway January 15-March 15, or while supplies last. Discount Ticket Program Benefits the Broadway For Kids Education Program
Fifth Third Bank Broadway Across America - Columbus is pleased to announce the return of Kroger Night on Broadway for the 06/07 Season. Kroger Night on Broadway offers theatre goers an opportunity to make a contribution to the Broadway For Kids Education Program when discount tickets to select Broadway Across America - Columbus performances are purchased.
Developed in 2000 with the support of Kroger, NBC4, The Columbus Dispatch and ThisWeek Community Newspapers, Kroger Night on Broadway serves as a vehicle for bolstering Broadway Across America – Columbus’ community outreach. The program offers a savings of $8 per ticket for the hottest touring Broadway shows that play Columbus’ Ohio and Palace Theatres. The offer is available at any Ticketmaster service center, where ticket buyers receive the Kroger Night on Broadway discount by presenting their Kroger Plus Card or Kroger Night on Broadway coupon (obtained from any Columbus-area Kroger store) at the time of purchase. A portion of the proceeds from these ticket purchases will go directly to the Broadway For Kids Education Program to fund the purchase of tickets for local students to attend Broadway shows. In the 2005-2006 season, $7,800 in education contributions was generated through Kroger Night on Broadway, which is over 21% of the Education Program’s annual budget.
The Broadway For Kids Education Program, created in 1988, is a patron-supported community outreach arts program that brings students in direct contact with Broadway theatre professionals. The Education Program supports, creates and implements arts education opportunities that include visits to public and private schools, free public workshops and subsidized tickets through the Artists-in-Schools program, the Broadway Insights Public Workshop Series, and the APPLAUSE subsidized ticket program.
