TICKETS FOR MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT ON SALE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19 - 10/11/2007
MINNEAPOLIS—The Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2005, Monty Python's Spamalot, debuts in Minneapolis at the Orpheum Theatre for a limited one week engagement May 27–June 1, 2008. Individual tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 at 9 a.m. From 9 to 10 a.m., tickets will only be available at the State Theatre Box Office. Starting at 10 a.m., tickets will be available at all other outlets. The show is presented by Hennepin Theatre Trust as a special addition to its 2007-08 M&I Bank Broadway Across America-Minneapolis season. It f0llows a recent sold-out engagement at Ordway Center in St. Paul. “An exhilarating, no-holds-barred smash hit!” says John Lahr of The New Yorker.

Lovingly "ripped off" from the internationally famous comedy team's most popular motion picture, “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” Monty Python's Spamalot is the winner of three 2005 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Director (Mike Nichols), as well as the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for Best Musical. Written by Eric Idle with a new score and lyrics by Idle and John Du Prez, Monty Python’s Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the quest for the Holy Grail with dancing divas, knights in tights, feisty Frenchmen and silly songs. The original cast recording of Monty Python’s Spamalot recently won the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album. With sold-out engagements since it opened, Monty Python's Spamalot has remained the hottest ticket on Broadway, continuing to break box office records in the United States and internationally.

TICKET INFORMATION
Individual tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 19 at 9 a.m. at the State Theatre Box Office only and range in price from $29 to $79, depending upon performance time and seating preference. Beginning at 10 a.m., tickets will be available at all other outlets. All prices include applicable facility fees. Additional charges may apply. Performance dates for Monty Python’s Spamalot are Tuesday, May 27 through Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis. Show times are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m.; Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
