Broadway Concierge & Ticket Center Offers Helpful Resources
If you’ve ever had a difficult time deciding which Broadway show to see when visiting New York City or wondered which restaurant would be the best place for dinner prior to the show, the Broadway Ticket Center can help. Located within the Times Square Information Center at 1560 Broadway (between 46th and 47th Streets), The Broadway Ticket Center is currently the only place in New York City where patrons can purchase advance and day-of show tickets to virtually every show on Broadway and many Off-Broadway productions. This spring, the Broadway Ticket Center will be relaunched as the Broadway Concierge & Ticket Center.
“As Broadway Concierge (& Ticket Center) we will be not just providing (show) information and ticket sales but we can also help people with restaurant reservations, hotel reservations, car services,” said Amy Steinhaus, Manager of Ticketing & Hospitality at The Broadway League. The Center will also provide neighborhood maps, directions and information on events happening in the Big Apple. “We believe that the Broadway Concierge & Ticket Center fills a very necessary void by delivering the kind of service that Broadway ticket-buyers need and deserve," explained Charlotte St. Martin, Executive Director of The Broadway League.
In addition to multilingual show information, video previews, show brochures and show tickets, the Broadway Concierge & Ticket Center will also provide customers with guidance on which shows to see. “Because we are part of The Broadway League, we have a vast knowledge of Broadway and what’s going on,” explained Steinhaus. “So really more than anybody else, the Broadway Concierge will have all the information you need to know and help to really fine-tune suggestions for every customer. (This ensures) that they choose the show that’s best for them if they’re not sure what they want to see, which is often the case.”
The Broadway Concierge & Ticket Center will also help patrons with seat selection as well. “We have access to the same seats that you would have access to on Telecharge or Ticketmaster. But we also spend the time to make sure that you get the best possible seats there are - which is not something that really happens when you order online or by phone,” said Steinhaus. The Center currently provides in-person service and the Broadway League plans to eventually launch a website and phone line as well.
"We want to be the source of all things Broadway, so we’re aiming to enhance the information and service that theatergoers’ receive by helping to demystify and improve the Broadway ticket-buying experience,” explained St. Martin.
