About the Theater
The Orange County Performing Arts Center is committed to supporting artistic excellence on all of its stages and engaging the entire community in new and exciting ways through an array of inspiring programs.
The Orange County Performing Arts Center opened in 1986 with its 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall and intimate 250-seat Founders Hall. In 2006, the Center expanded its venues to include the 2,000-seat Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall and 500-seat multi-functional Samueli Theater. The Center’s new facility, which also includes a studio theater and education lab, joins the adjacent Tony® Award-winning South Coast Repertory and a site for a future visual arts complex to create Segerstrom Center for the Arts. A 46,000-square-foot outdoor community plaza unites all of the venues to create one of the largest performing arts campuses in the United States.
The Orange County Performing Arts Center presents a broad range of programming each season, including international ballet and dance, national tours of top Broadway shows, intimate performances of jazz and cabaret, classical music performed by renowned chamber orchestras and ensembles, family-friendly programming and many other special events.
The Center offers many programs designed to inspire young people through the arts. These programs reach more than 500,000 students of all ages with vital arts-in-education programs, enhancing their studies and enriching their lives well into the future.
The Center is proud to serve as the artistic home to the region’s major performing arts organizations: Pacific Symphony, the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, Opera Pacific and the Pacific Chorale. ORANGE COUNTY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

Accessibility

Welcome to the Orange County Performing Arts Center. We
hope the following information will help make your experience at The Center more
enjoyable.
Assistive Listening Devices
- Patrons with hearing impairments are encouraged to use The Center's Sennheiser
System. Wireless, lightweight headsets are available at no cost to those who
wish to enhance the theater's normal sound level. Headsets may be picked up at a
booth in the middle of the Plaza Level Lobby. Although this infrared system
accommodates every seat in the house, for best results, The Center recommends
not sitting in the first four rows of the orchestra level. To obtain a headset,
a driver's license or major credit card will be required and then returned upon
receipt of the equipment at the end of the performance.
Binoculars - Compact binoculars are
available for rental in the Plaza Lobby level. A driver's license or major
credit card is required, in addition to the rental payment, and will be returned
upon receipt of the equipment at the close of the performance.
Seating - Accessible locations for patrons
with mobility impairments are available on both a season ticket and single
ticket basis. Along with advance notice, it is recommended that patrons using
wheelchairs be accompanied by a companion to provide assistance. Seating for one
accompanying patron is available next to the wheelchair space. Additional guests
in your party are seated as near as possible. Please call 714.556.2787
for availability and reservations.
Parking for Ticket Purchase
and Patron Drop-Off - Street
parking for a limited number of vehicles, for 30-minute intervals only, is
available in the circle drive in front of The Center. This parking is available
for those patrons wishing to make ticket purchases at the Box Office and for
patron drop-off and pick-up.
Parking for performances - Accessible
parking spaces are available at Center Tower Garage, adjacent to The Center (on
Sunflower Avenue between Avenue of the Arts and Park Center Drive). From the
garage, there is elevator access to Town Center Drive and The Center's Street
Level and Plaza Level entrances. Please note that this parking structure is
independently owned and operated, and a parking fee is charged.
Signed Performances - Currently, one
Saturday matinee performance of each Center Broadway musical is interpreted in
American Sign Language. For further information on seating and reservation for
these signed performances, please contact the Box Office: Voice 714.556.2787, TTY 714.556.2746. Information on Center plans for additional signed
performances may be obtained by contacting The Center's Accessibility Services
Coordinator.
Telephone - An accessible telephone equipped
with TTY is located off the Street Level lobby. Please ask any of The Center's
ushers for assistance.
Braille Programs
- House programs are available in Braille upon request. For Braille program
requests, please contact The Center's Accessibility Services Coordinator at
least three weeks prior to the show.
Usher
Assistance
- The Center's ushers are happy to escort and aid patrons who request assistance
to and from their cars, before and after the performance. Ushers are also
available to read program notes upon request.

available for Center-presented events and may be obtained from the house manager
or head usher.

Ticket broker websites and the reselling of event tickets online are major
concerns for us here at Broadway Across America. Many fraudulent
companies are setting up shop on the internet making it very easy for you, our
valued guests, to find alternative online sources to purchase your theatre
tickets. Unfortunately, you could wind up paying a premium for bogus
tickets and we would have little recourse in being able to help.
Don’t take chances by purchasing theatre tickets from just any website. Make
your first click BroadwayAcrossAmerica.com to reach authorized online ticket
sellers for all Broadway Across America events. |
