The following accommodations are available for the comfort and convenience of patrons:
Information for Disability Access Seating Requests
Any patron with a special seating need (visual impairment, hearing impairment, physical impairment, or any other seating concern) may call the theatre directly to make the necessary arrangements to accommodate their specific requirements. It is not necessary for the patrons to come in person to the theatre to secure their special arrangements.
All Disability Access seating arrangements are handled by the theatre Box Office directly. The Colonial disability access line may be dialed directly at (617) 880-2419.
The Colonial Theatre’s TTY number is 617.426-3444.
Note: Patrons with disability access needs may be admitted to the theatre prior to the general public whenever possible. They should speak to an usher at the door and they will notify the management to handle the request.
Note: There is NO elevator in The Colonial Theatre.

The House Staff is able to assist patrons with disabilities.
Wheelchair Access
Wheelchair accessible (and companion) seats are available through the Box Office or by calling the Disability Access line at 617.880.2419. Accessible bathrooms are located off the main lobby.
Handicapped Parking Spots
There are 2 designated handicapped parking spots directly in front of the theatre on Boylston Street. These spots are available for pick-up and drop-off only. There is plenty of parking in the theatre district, convenient to the theatre.
Hearing Impaired Services/Infrared Listening System
The theatre is equipped with an infrared sound enhancement system. Headsets are available at no extra charge in the main lobby. Open Captioned performances are performed for most productions. Visually Impaired
Special seating for the visually impaired is available through the Box Office or by calling the Disability Access line at 617.880.2419. A large print program is also available. See house staff for more information.
Special Performances
Audio Described and Open-Captioned performances are available for some productions. Call the theatre or visit our website www.bostonscolonialtheatre.com for more information and the schedule of these performances.
Buying Disability Access Seats
To purchase Disability Access Seats you have three options:
In Person
Come in person to The Colonial Theatre Box Office Monday - Saturday 10 am - 6 pm.
Phone
Tickets for patrons with disability access needs can be arranged by phone by calling 617.426.9366 and dialing extension 419 to reach our Special Needs Seating Line. Please leave a detailed message including a day and evening phone number and specific information regarding what kind of special seating need you have. Tickets are also available by calling Ticketmaster but all service charges will apply to orders place through Ticketmaster.
