About the Theater
Home to many of the city’s major arts organizations, The Kentucky Center brings the finest in music, dance, theater and more to Kentucky! We are the home for Louisville’s nationally-renowned arts scene, to The Louisville Orchestra, Kentucky Opera, Louisville Ballet, Stage One and PNC Broadway Across America – Louisville, as well as a host of community theaters and our own Kentucky Center Presents performances. The three theaters of the Center, along with our sister facility the elegant W. L. Lyons Brown Theatre, are Kentucky’s showcases for the performing arts. At Spaghetti
Junction (you'll know it when you see it!) follow the signs for I-64 West (St.
Louis); exit 3rd Street; go straight through the light at the bottom of the
ramp; turn right on Main St.; the Kentucky Center (and drive-through drop-off)
is on the right just before 6th St.; turn right on 6th St. and you'll find
parking garages on your right.

Plenty of
safe, well-lit parking can be found within walking distance of the Kentucky
Center for the Arts and the Louisville Palace Theatre. We suggest that you
arrive 30 minutes prior to curtain to find a good spot.

KENTUCKY CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Seating - Patrons who use wheelchairs,
or are otherwise mobility impaired, have a variety of seat locations available.
Please make requests for these seats at the time of ticket purchase. Wheelchair
access is available on every seating and parking level. You may find it
convenient to use the Kentucky Center's drive-through to drop off a mobility
impaired patron. The drive-through entrance is located on Main Street just past
the main steps and before you reach 6th Street.
Assistive Listening System - Infrared hearing
devices are available to provide hearing amplification for subscribers. There is
no charge for this service. The devices are available at the coat check and
should be reserved at the time of ticket purchase.
Audio Description
- Provides for a description of the non-verbal action taking place on stage
to blind or visually impaired patrons. This services is offered at no charge on
the first Saturday Matinee of each show, but tickets need to be ordered through
the Broadway Series at least one week before the show opens.
Captioned Theater
- Captioned Theater is available for selected performances as a service to the
deaf and hearing impaired, and should be reserved at the time of ticket
purchase. Captioned Theater is made possible through the generosity of Jacob C.
Koch charitable trust.
A staff of
trained ushers will assist with directions and any special needs. For more
