Love Never Dies, Phantom Sequel
Exclusive Preview Getaway
London, United Kingdom
September 23-28, 2010
TESTIMONIAL:
“Janice and I had a wonderful weekend. All three of the shows were so different, but so enjoyable - great seats. The hotel was above and beyond what I had anticipated. Spacious rooms and very helpful, friendly staff. The two included meals were very good. We so enjoyed the actors speaking with us at Sardi's.
You as our hosts couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We appreciate everything you did to make our trip memorable. Thank you.”

PACKAGE DESCRIPTION:
Broadway Across America is pleased to introduce a very special opportunity long awaited by legions of fans of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. 100 million have seen Phantom around the world since it opened in 1986 and it continues as the longest running Broadway production in New York.
For quite some time, Phantom devotees have anticipated the juicy prospect of a sequel from Andrew Lloyd Webber. That hope was realized in March with the world premiere in London of LOVE NEVER DIES which picks up the gothic romance tale 10 years after PHANTOM.
And now here is your chance to be among the first to see LOVE NEVER DIES this fall in London’s famed West End.
If you have been looking for the right time to make that trip “across the pond,” that time has arrived. Late September is a splendid time of year in London with moderating temperatures, and thinning crowds, yet with all of the fascinating sights and history and culture that you would expect from one of the world’s great capital cities.
In addition to your three featured shows, your 6-day/5-night package features an array of fascinating, custom-built elements – both the iconic sights and some exclusive theater insider experiences – to the point you will have quite the immersion experience into the heart and soul of modern Britain.
Anticipated as an intimate group of about 16 to 20 patrons, this Broadway Across America trip will be like none other you have experienced, yet the high level of service, attention to detail and personal touches will be familiar.
Our trip features 5-star accommodations, excellent seats to your shows, a welcome reception with your fellow travelers, numerous Blue Badge guided tour outings including the best sights in London and a day trip to Stratford-upon-Avon (a popular excursion out of the city to explore Shakespeare's roots), and a final group dinner before our last show – not to mention the dedicated professional on-site services of the Broadway Across America staff.

Tucked on a cul-de-sac behind Green Park in the heart of St. James’s, the Stafford has an air of timelessness, where elegance and tradition create a haven of calm away from London’s busy streets. At the same time, the Stafford offers ultra convenience to attractions, theatre and shopping. |

After arrival at the hotel, our first afternoon in London will feature a casual outing – perhaps a few hours of fine exhibitions at the National Gallery or a short trip to Greenwich and its shops, coffee houses and, of course, the opportunity to stand at 0 degrees longitude. |
| • |
That evening we will gather for an intimate welcome reception, where you can meet and mingle with fellow guests while enjoying fine hors d’oeurves and cocktails. |

Friday is our day to get to know London a whole lot better. Our Blue Badge guide will lead us on a humorous and insightful panoramic motor coach tour of the city’s finest sights where you will observe first-hand how this modern city was melded with the historic one. For the afternoon, we will dismiss the motor coach and continue with our Blue Badge guide by foot and public transport to a major sight such as the Tower of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral or Westminster Abbey while taking note of other attractions along the way. |

Friday evening features our first performance in London’s famed West End, with Best Orchestra/Stalls seating to LOVE NEVER DIES at the Adelphi Theatre. Ten years after the mysterious disappearance of The Phantom from the Paris Opera House, Christine Daaé accepts an offer to come to America and perform at New York's fabulous new playground of the world - Coney Island. Christine arrives in New York with her husband Raoul and their son Gustave. She soon discovers the identity of the anonymous impresario who has lured her from France to sing. LOVE NEVER DIES is a roller coaster ride of obsession and intrigue... in which music and memory can play cruel tricks... and The Phantom sets out to prove that, indeed, LOVE NEVER DIES. # |
| • |
But wait, there’s more. Our evening at the Adelphi includes drinks at intermission and an exclusive backstage tour of the LOVE NEVER DIES set following the show. |
Saturday, September 25

We left Saturday morning open on your schedule if you would like to sleep in, make your own plans to sightsee, shop, or just plain relax. |
| • |
Saturday afternoon you are invited to join the group for a tour of Kensington Palace, which is now known as the Enchanted Palace – a very different and immersive experience which fills the historic State Apartments with modern art and fashion installations. Your quest is to find the seven princesses at the heart of Kensington, but you will need to ask questions of our expert Explainers to discover the history of the palace and its former inhabitants. Admission to the palace is included. |
| • |
Following our jaunt to the Enchanted Palace, we will gather for the English custom of Afternoon Tea – perhaps in the posh, but welcoming confines of the Orangery. |
| • |
A second major West End musical production will cap our Saturday in London when we enjoy Best Orchestra/Stalls seating for PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT at the Palace Theatre. Based on the Oscar® award-winning film and written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott and directed by Simon Phillips, PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT is a heart-warming, uplifting adventure of three friends who hop aboard a battered old bus searching for love and friendship and end up finding more than they could ever have dreamed. With a dazzling array of outrageous costumes and featuring a score of dance-floor classics, Priscilla is a sensational journey to the heart of fabulous. |

Once again, we have arranged for drinks for our group at intermission and a special surpise just for our guests is in the works. |

Stratford-upon-Avon: Today, we offer a refreshing new take on your trip to the UK as we take the day to escape the hustle and bustle of Central London for a trip to one of England’s most historic attractions, Stratford, the birth place of William Shakespeare. With a departure after breakfast and late afternoon return, it’s a comfortable ride via luxury motor coach to Stratford and we will once again by led by a Blue Badge guide to who will help us get the very most out of our experience with humorous insights and fascinating stories. |
| • |
Set on the banks of the slow-flowing River Avon, Stratford has hung on to much of its ancient character with its look at feel of an English market town. You can see Shakespeare's whole life here: his birthplace on Henley Street; where he married Anne Hatha way, his burial place in Holy Trinity Church; Anne Hathaway's Cottage; his mother's home at Wilmcote; New Place; and the neighboring Nash's House, home of Shakespeare's granddaughter. |
| • |
Snacks and drinks will be provided for the roundtrip. |
Monday, September 27

Our last full day in London shapes up as a great finish to what we are sure will be a memorable extended weekend. |
| • |
The timing of our visit allows for the unique opportunity to tour Buckingham Palace while Her Majesty is away in Scotland. Our plan is to visit Buckingham Palace Monday morning. Admission to the palace is included. From there, we will keep a lighter schedule in the afternoon with some “white space” to unwind, do some “pre-packing” or make your own plans. |
| • |
This evening we will re-convene as a group to head over to a pre-theatre farewell dinner at an exceptional restaurant, near Oxford Circus and the London Palladium. |
| • |
Tonight, we will have Best Orchestra/Stalls seating for SISTER ACT, a divine new musical comedy now raising the roof at the London Palladium. When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place cops are sure she won't be found – a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and an uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community, but in doing so blows her cover. Soon the gang are giving chase, only to find themselves up against Deloris and the power of her new found Sister Hood.
Based on the smash-hit movie, SISTER ACT features a brand new score by eight-time Oscar-®winner Alan Menken whose credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and most recently the hit movie Enchanted. |
